1. Be true to yourself and others
The biggest disservice you will ever do to yourself is being untruthful about what you want to do and your abilities. When you lie to yourself, you build up unrealistic expectations that cannot be met. This will translate into how others perceive you. The moment you are honest with those around you is the moment you will feel whole and successful, not as someone who is constantly playing catch-up.
2. Be brave – have courage
You can do anything you set your mind to if you genuinely put your heart and soul into it. Remember, nothing comes from nothing. Approach everything with a calm and rational head and don’t panic. It is good for us to have experiences that put us outside of our comfort zones; they build us up into more wholesome individuals.
3. Pay attention
Pay attention to everyone around you and you might just learn something new every single day. Meditation is a great way to practice attention and concentration. Sit quietly, breathe deeply, and focus your mind as you do your best to tune out distracting thoughts. This is simple to learn, but it can take a lifetime to master.
4. Seek out like-minded people
When you surround yourself with like-minded people you will be lifted up and be able to achieve more. Those who are of a higher level of consciousness are those who should be welcomed into your life. Talk to them, ask them questions and enjoy their company. Allow their ideas and views on the world to take hold of you. Soon you’ll become more honest, brave and compassionate.
5. Look after your physical health and your conscious mind will thank you
The best way to ensure the growth and expansion of your conscious mind is to take care of your physical body. By looking after your body’s energy, you will experience an ongoing flow in both your personal and private lives. If you do not care for your energy, you will starve your consciousness.
